Follow me to VOX

Hey everyone, I'm migrating over to Voxtropolis for my new blog site.
You can find me at www.ijourney.voxtropolis.com

If you haven't signed up for your new VOX, you should give it a try.
If you're a journey blogger, once you get a vox, come to my site and leave a remark.
I'll add you under my "Journey Bloggers" links.
If you're planning on staying with xanga, still come to my site and let me know that, and I'll list your xanga site on my links.

Thanks!
Mike

I like the new site.  Just out of my own curiosity why the switch?  I have a few friends that are switching constantly.  Am I missing something?

lane0129--- thanks for asking. My good friend Alex McManus started Voxtropolis as a business venture to help finance some of his ministry. Currently it is in beta testing mode, but is very functional. He's planning on launching it officially in January. I'd rather give my dime to him vs. xanga. That's reason enough for me, but there are some other reasons that actually make a lot of sense if you're really into blogging. Xanga blogs are what they call "hidden" blogs, so technorati can't pick up on who is linking to you. If you're trying to build an audience, the key to blogging is linking. The more sites that link to yours the better. Another good reason to switch over is the features of Vox. The Vox Cafe is a very cool thing. you can see who's posting. Alex's goal is not to create a "christian" blog company, but most of the people that know him and are beta testing it for him are Christians, so there's a good base of us in the system. Eventually, we're hoping more and more people who are not Christians will use vox.

Anyway--probably a long answer.

Xanga has footprints now...hidden blogs no more. I've had a site meter on my site for some time and always knew who was linking to me. I don't keep a Xanga "Premium" account so it's free....no dimes needed.

I hope more and more people who are not Christians start using vox too...maybe then It wouldn't creep me out so much...cause right now it really does.
